Wascana Evening

We walked around Wascana Lake yesterday evening around sundown. Our last training session before flying out Monday Morning.
The place was full of duck families close to the shoreline on the north-west side of the lake. Later on the way around we saw scores of goslings, yellow and brown waddling around under the watchful eye of their goose parents.
We were also surprised to see a couple of beaver. One we got within a couple of feet of. So close you could hear it chewing away at the tree shoots it was having for a meal. It was so nonchalant, our presence didn't seem to bother it one bit. It just chewed away nonplussed by our intrusion into its summer evening.
