I have been experimenting with High Dynamic Range (HDR) photographs. It is a process which goes back to the 1930 and 40’s but is recently is becoming more popular as people are looking for new ways to work with digital images.
Even the most sophisticated digital camera cannot even come close to reading the range from light to dark as well as the human eye. HDR helps deal with that problem. Basically, you start with three of more images of the same scene taken at different exposures. Then by using a process of tone mapping together with bracketed exposures of normal digital images, one can get an end result which has a high, often exaggerated dynamic range.

I will from time to time post some of my photographs and may try to find a way to link them to this page.
